Georgia requires approved prelicensing education for Life and Accident and Sickness. This online Self Study product is public approved course 74444: 8 hours for Life plus 8 hours for Accident and Sickness.
1. Complete the approved 16-hour course
Sircon lists Insurance Training Professionals LLC as provider 245426 and public approved course 74444. The course is Self-Study, On-line Training/Webinar, and active April 23, 2026 through its April 30, 2028 renewal date. Approval is not OCI or Sircon recommendation or endorsement.
2. Pass the combined examination
The current Pearson VUE handbook lists exam 12-GA-05, Life/Accident/Sickness Agent COMBO, at 2.5 hours and $67. It states a 70% passing score. Confirm current fees, scheduling, identification, and delivery details with Pearson VUE.
3. Apply through Sircon and complete fingerprints
New resident applications moved from NIPR to Sircon on April 1, 2026. OCI lists a $100 license fee plus a $20 processing fee. Submit the citizenship affidavit and acceptable identification, then complete electronic fingerprints after applying using fingerprint service code 2TGJ6B.
4. Wait for state review and appointment
OCI says average processing is 14 business days. Passing the exam does not by itself issue a license. After licensure, an insurer company appointment is required before conducting insurance business.
