Inside your West Virginia Life Only course
Use the online course to build your foundation, then bring the topics you want to review to your selected live online session.
1. Definitions
Build the insurance vocabulary first. Keep a short review list so unfamiliar terms do not distract you from the coverage or benefit being tested.
2. Life & Annuity
Connect policy roles, life insurance benefits and annuity concepts. Identify what the question is asking before comparing the answer choices.
3. State Regulation
Study the West Virginia material alongside the general insurance concepts. Keep a separate list of state-specific topics to revisit during practice review.
Try two course study examples
Choose an answer before opening the explanation. These original examples demonstrate insurance concepts; they are not state examination questions.
Identify the beneficiary
Morgan owns a life policy on Alex and names Casey as beneficiary. Which person is designated to receive the death benefit?
Show answer and reasoning 1
Casey. The policyowner, insured and beneficiary can be different people. Match the role in the question to the correct person.
Compare level and decreasing term
Policy A has a $250,000 death benefit throughout a 20-year term. Policy B starts at $250,000 and reduces the death benefit each year. Which illustrates decreasing term?
Show answer and reasoning 2
Policy B. The changing death benefit is the key clue. The term length tells you how long coverage lasts; it does not tell you whether the benefit stays level or decreases.
Examples use simplified assumptions. Actual policy terms and loss facts determine real coverage and payments.
Turn practice into a review plan
After working through the topics, use your course’s Practice Tests section to identify weak areas. Return to the relevant lesson and explain why the answer fits. Follow the instructions in Final Exam and any other completion steps shown in your course.
Reinforce your review with the course reference and printable study cards available in your course.
