Current Idaho resident sequence
- Choose each authority needed. Idaho lists Life, Accident and Health, Property, and Casualty separately.
- Prepare for each required exam. Idaho has no mandatory prelicensing course for these lines; the listed TSI courses are optional study tools.
- Schedule the matching Pearson VUE exams at a test center or through OnVUE. The current handbook lists Life and Accident and Health at 120 minutes each, Property and Casualty at 105 minutes each, and each exam at $65.
- After passing, allow up to 48 hours for result upload. Current exam results are valid for 180 days.
- Complete Idaho fingerprint/background processing, submit the receipt and completed CHRI/Request and Release form, then apply through NIPR. Fingerprints are valid for six months; NIPR currently lists an $80 state fee excluding its transaction fee. Insurer appointment is separate.

Are Life and Health tested in one combined exam?
No. Current Idaho materials list separate Life and Accident and Health examinations. Property and Casualty are also separate examinations.
What do the Idaho major-line producer exams cost and how long are they?
