Current Wyoming resident sequence
- Choose Life & Health, Property & Casualty, or both based on the authority needed.
- Use optional independent Self Study if helpful. Wyoming DOI begins the resident producer path with the exam, lists study-material providers for information only, and does not endorse any provider.
- Choose Pearson VUE exam 05, Life and Accident and Health or Sickness, or exam 06, Property and Casualty Producer. Each combination exam is currently listed at 150 questions, 2.5 hours, and $113.
- Use a physical Pearson VUE test center or qualifying OnVUE online-proctored delivery. Confirm current device, room, identification, and appointment rules before scheduling.
- Answer at least 70 percent correctly to pass. Change or cancel at least 48 hours before the appointment to preserve the fee, and wait 24 hours before making a retest reservation.
- After passing, apply online through Sircon and complete the application process within one year. NIPR reports exam scores valid for 12 months.
- First-time residents apply before fingerprinting. Wyoming DOI mails the fingerprint packet only after receiving the application. The current state fee is $100 per producer grouping and the separate fingerprint fee is $39; NIPR transaction fees are additional.
- Application approval, any required appointment, and license issuance remain separate from the course, exam, and application.

Wyoming licensing FAQ
Is a Wyoming producer prelicensing school required?
Wyoming DOI starts its resident producer steps with passing the requested examination and does not list a mandatory education-course step. DOI lists study-material providers for information only and does not endorse them. TSI Self Study is optional independent preparation.
Which exam applies to Life and Health?
Pearson VUE lists exam 05, Life and Accident and Health or Sickness, at 150 questions, 2.5 hours, and a $113 combination-exam fee.
Which exam applies to Property and Casualty?
Pearson VUE lists exam 06, Property and Casualty Producer, at 150 questions, 2.5 hours, and a $113 combination-exam fee.

Pearson VUE supports physical test-center and OnVUE online-proctored delivery. Online candidates must meet the current room, device, identification, and proctor rules.
What score is required to pass?
The current Pearson VUE handbook says a candidate must answer 70 percent of questions correctly.
What are the cancellation and retest rules?
Pearson VUE requires at least 48 hours notice to change or cancel without forfeiting the fee and a 24-hour wait before making a retest reservation. Online examinations permit two attempts per exam; later attempts must use a test center.
When do I apply after passing?
Wyoming residents pass the examination before applying online through Sircon. The application process must be completed within one year of passing, and NIPR reports Wyoming exam scores as valid for 12 months.
When are fingerprints completed?
First-time resident applicants apply before fingerprints. Wyoming DOI mails the fingerprint packet after receiving the application and destroys fingerprint cards received without an application on file.
What are the separate state and fingerprint fees?
Wyoming DOI and NIPR currently list a $100 resident producer state fee for either the Life grouping or Property and Casualty grouping and a separate $39 fingerprinting fee. NIPR transaction fees are separate.
Does a course purchase guarantee a pass or license?
No. Study completion, exam passage, application review, any required appointment, and license issuance are separate and are not guaranteed.
Course boundary: Each listed $114.95 purchase provides 70 days of optional independent online Self Study access for the selected line pair. The $113 Pearson VUE combination-exam fee, $100 state fee per producer grouping, $39 fingerprint cost, NIPR transaction fee, any required appointment, and the license are separate. TSI does not claim Wyoming DOI, Pearson VUE, Sircon, or NIPR approves, recommends, or endorses TSI and does not guarantee study completion, exam passage, application approval, appointment, or license issuance.
