Mississippi insurance licensing
Start here: Mississippi exempts Life applicants from the former 20-hour Life education requirement, while Accident and Health still carries the state education requirement. TSI course 29806 is an approved 40-credit combined course; that approval is not a claim that 40 hours remains the combined legal minimum. Confirm final requirements and fees with the official sources before applying.

Mississippi licensing FAQ
Does Mississippi require 40 hours for a combined Life, Accident and Health applicant?
No current 40-hour combined legal minimum is claimed. Mississippi says House Bill 819 exempted Life applicants from the former 20-hour Life requirement effective July 1, 2024, and that the change affects Life only. The Department still lists 20 hours for Accident and Health. TSI course 29806 remains an approved 40-credit combined course.
What does TSI Mississippi course 29806 include?
The $114.95 online Self Study product provides 70 days of access to the approved combined Life, Accident and Health course, chapter checks, a closed-book final, the required affidavit workflow, and a completion certificate after course requirements are met.

The current Pearson VUE handbook lists a 65 percent passing score for the Life-only, Accident and Health-only, and combined producer examinations.
