Indiana Life, Accident & Health prelicensing and license path

Indiana requires approved prelicensing education for the combined Life, Accident & Health path. This online Self Study product is public approved course 47711: 20 hours for Life plus 20 hours for Health.

1. Complete the approved 40-hour course

Sircon lists Insurance Training Professionals LLC as provider 186907 and public approved course 47711 at 40.0 credits. The provider record was valid through May 26, 2029 at the July 19, 2026 public readback. Approval is not IDOI or Sircon recommendation or endorsement.

2. Pass the combined examination

The current Pearson VUE handbook lists one combined Life & Health examination with 150 questions, 180 minutes, and a $69 fee. It lists a scaled passing score of 70, testing at physical test centers or through OnVUE, and says candidates must wait 48 hours before retaking.

3. Use the six-month certificate window

IDOI says the completion certificate is valid for six months. Complete the course, pass the correct examination, and apply for the license during that six-month window.

4. Apply through Sircon or NIPR

Apply online through Sircon or NIPR. IDOI lists a $40 state application fee plus an online processing fee, closes incomplete applications after 30 days, and asks applicants to allow 7-10 business days. Current published IDOI and NIPR instructions do not list a separate fingerprint submission for this resident path.
