The public State Based Systems lookup lists TSI course 6000221769 under Insurance Training Professionals LLC, provider 500033012, as an approved 40-hour Self-Study prelicensing course for Connecticut Property/Casualty.

1. Complete the approved education

The official course record describes at least 20 hours of Property and 20 hours of Casualty instruction using the current Connecticut/Pearson producer outline. Complete the TSI course and certificate workflow before testing.

2. Schedule the combined Pearson exam

The combined P&C producer exam 12-CT-04 currently costs $105 and allows 2.5 hours. Connecticut testing is now at physical Pearson test centers, and the certificate or an approved waiver letter is required on exam day.

3. Study the exact current outline

The outline contains 130 scored questions and 15 unscored pretest questions across general P&C knowledge and Connecticut law. The passing score is 70%.

4. Apply after the result uploads

Allow one to two business days after passing, then apply through NIPR within one year. NIPR lists a $140 Insurance Producer state fee, excluding its transaction fee. Connecticut says this license type does not require fingerprints.

Current official Connecticut sources

Course boundary: The $114.95 purchase is the approved TSI 40-hour online Self-Study course. It does not include Pearson registration or exam fee, the Connecticut or NIPR fees, application, appointment, or license. TSI does not claim Connecticut, SBS, Pearson, or NIPR recommendation or endorsement and does not guarantee course completion, exam passage, application approval, appointment, or license issuance.

Post-license distinction: Connecticut's one-time three-credit NFIP Flood requirement for resident P&C and Personal Lines producers is renewal-period continuing education, not part of the initial 40-hour prelicensing course.
