This is the self-study option for students who want a direct, affordable path through Hawaii Property and Casualty exam material. It is video based and does not require a live class schedule.
Hawaii Property & Casualty exam and license path
The Hawaii Insurance Division does not require a specific program of pre-licensing education. This online Self Study product is optional independent exam preparation for Hawaii's separate Property and Casualty producer examinations—not state-required or state-approved education, Pearson VUE, either exam, Fieldprint, fingerprints, application, appointment, GET license, or producer license.
1. Choose optional exam preparation
Product 1228 provides 70 days of online Self Study access for P&C exam preparation. Hawaii does not require a specific program, and TSI makes no required-provider, recommendation, approval, or endorsement claim.
2. Schedule both exams
Take Property InsHI_Prop03 and Casualty InsHI_Cas04. Pearson currently lists a $75 examination fee. Test-center candidates may take up to two exams in one session; OnVUE exams cannot be combined. Reservations are required at least 24 hours ahead; no walk-ins.
3. Study each General and Hawaii portion
Property totals 83 scored and 10 unscored pretest questions, with 75 minutes for General and 45 minutes for Hawaii. Casualty totals 91 scored and 12 unscored pretest questions, with 75 minutes for General and 60 minutes for Hawaii. Pearson reports a scaled passing score of 70, not a raw percentage.
4. Complete fingerprints and apply
Use Fieldprint code HI-DCCA-INS, then apply through NIPR within 60 days after fingerprinting. NIPR currently lists a $150 Hawaii state fee, excluding its transaction fee, and says scores remain valid for 2 years. A General Excise Tax license and insurer appointment are separate.
Retake rule: Pearson currently allows the first online retest after 2 weeks and later online retests after 4 weeks. Test-center retests are available after 24 hours following each failure.
