Idaho P&C exam and license path
Idaho requires no pre-licensing education. This online Self Study product is optional independent preparation, not Pearson VUE, either exam, fingerprint/background processing, the NIPR application, appointment, or license.
1. Choose optional exam preparation
Idaho DOI cannot directly provide study material and publishes an informational provider-contact list. TSI does not claim required-provider, DOI approval, recommendation, or endorsement status.
2. Take separate Property and Casualty exams
Current Idaho DOI and Pearson VUE materials list separate 105-minute Property and Casualty exams at $65 each. Verify current fees and appointment availability when scheduling.
3. Use a test center or OnVUE
Pearson VUE currently supports test-center and OnVUE online-proctored delivery. Online candidates must meet current identification, system, workspace, and proctoring requirements.
4. Complete fingerprints, then apply through NIPR
Idaho requires resident fingerprint/background processing. Submit the fingerprint receipt and completed CHRI/Request and Release form, then apply through NIPR. Current exam results are valid for 180 days; allow up to 48 hours for result upload. Passing does not itself issue a license.
