Optional Maryland Property & Casualty exam preparation

Maryland no longer requires an approved prelicensing program before the Property and Casualty producer exam. This online Self Study product is optional independent preparation, not required or state-endorsed education.

1. Prepare for Prometric exam 2032

The combined Property and Casualty Producer exam is code 2032. The current Prometric-linked outline lists 120 scored questions plus 10 unscored questions and a 150-minute time limit.

2. Choose test-center or remote delivery

Prometric currently offers Maryland insurance exams at test centers and through remote proctoring. The licensing bulletin lists a $62 fee. Confirm the current delivery, equipment, identification, and fee rules when scheduling.

3. Use the current retake rule

If you do not pass, Maryland requires a four-day wait before retaking the same exam. Prometric displays the result at the end and emails a score report.

4. Apply after passing

Submit the resident producer application through NIPR after the exam. Maryland and NIPR currently list a $54 state fee per application, excluding the NIPR transaction fee.

Current official Maryland sources
