New Hampshire Property & Casualty exam and resident-license path

The current PSI/New Hampshire bulletin says candidates are not required to take a prelicensing study course. This 70-day online Self Study product is optional independent exam preparation, not required education, an official study manual, a completion certificate, or a regulator-approved course.

Current vendor and exam: PSI administers the combined New Hampshire Property and Casualty producer exam as series 12-64. Prometric is the retired vendor, so older Prometric fees and procedures should not be used.

1. Prepare for series 12-64

The current PSI content outline lists 150 items and 2.5 hours. PSI may add 5 to 10 unscored experimental questions. Current official sources reviewed here do not publish a numeric passing score.

2. Schedule and protect the fee

The current series 12-64 fee is $72, and the exam is available at a PSI test center or by remote proctor. To cancel or reschedule without forfeiting the fee, PSI must receive notice at least two days before the appointment; voicemail and email are not accepted cancellation methods.

3. Retake if needed

A new appointment cannot be made on the same day as a failed exam. Scheduling can begin the next day, and the earliest available retest depends on space.

4. Apply through NIPR

After passing the appropriate exam, submit the electronic resident producer application through NIPR. NIPR verifies exam status before allowing submission. The current state fee is $210; NIPR transaction fees are separate.

Current official New Hampshire sources

Course boundary: Purchase provides 70 days of optional independent online exam preparation. It does not include the PSI exam, NIPR transaction fee, state application fee, company appointment, or license. TSI does not claim New Hampshire Department, PSI, or NIPR approval, recommendation, or endorsement and does not guarantee study completion, exam passage, application approval, appointment, or license issuance.
