Nevada Property & Casualty exam and resident-license path
Nevada does not require first-time producer applicants to complete prelicensing education. This 70-day online Self Study product is optional independent exam preparation and is not represented as Nevada-approved prelicensing education, completion credit, an official study manual, or a regulator-approved provider offering.
Current vendor and exam: Pearson VUE lists the combined Property/Casualty producer exam as InsNV_PC06 at physical test centers. The current handbook lists 3 hours 35 minutes, a $47 fee, and a scaled passing score of 70. The combined exam is not listed in the current OnVUE table.
1. Prepare from the current outline
Use the current Property, Casualty, and Nevada-specific content outlines to organize study. TSI provides independent preparation; Nevada DOI and Pearson VUE do not recommend or endorse TSI.
2. Schedule and protect the fee
Pearson says appointments may be made up to one calendar day in advance, subject to availability. To change or cancel without forfeiting the fee, Pearson must receive notice at least 48 hours before the appointment.
3. Understand score and retake rules
The passing score is a scaled 70, not a raw percentage. At a physical test location, wait 24 hours after a failed attempt before making another reservation. A failed combined exam requires retaking the entire combined exam.
4. Apply, fingerprint, and obtain appointment
Pass within one year before applying, then submit the resident application through Sircon. The state fee is $185. After applying, complete the authorization and waiver steps with an approved Nevada fingerprint vendor. Fingerprints are valid for one year; Nevada currently estimates about three weeks for the background report. An insurer appointment is also required.

Course boundary: Purchase provides 70 days of optional independent online exam preparation. It is not represented as Nevada-approved prelicensing education or credit and does not include the Pearson VUE exam, fingerprints, vendor transaction fees, $185 state licensing fee, insurer appointment, or license. TSI does not claim Nevada DOI, Pearson VUE, Sircon, NIPR, or any fingerprint vendor approves, recommends, or endorses TSI and does not guarantee study completion, exam passage, background clearance, application approval, appointment, or license issuance.
Nevada licensing FAQ
Does Nevada require prelicensing education for a first-time Property and Casualty producer applicant?
No. The current Nevada Division of Insurance individual-producer page says prelicensing education is not required. This product is optional independent exam preparation.
Is this product Nevada-approved prelicensing education or completion credit?
No such representation is made. Nevada separately requires approval for courses presented as prelicensing education. Use the current Sircon provider/course lookup if you specifically need an approved Nevada education provider.
Which Nevada exam applies to the combined Property and Casualty producer path?
Pearson VUE lists the physical-test-center combined exam as InsNV_PC06, Property/Casualty Combo. The current handbook allows 3 hours 35 minutes and lists a $47 fee.
Can I take the combined Nevada Property/Casualty exam through OnVUE?
The current handbook lists InsNV_PC06 in the physical test-center table but does not list the combined exam in the OnVUE table. Confirm current availability with Pearson VUE before scheduling.
What score is required on the Nevada producer exam?
Nevada uses a scaled passing score of 70 for producer examinations. The reported scaled score is not the raw number or percentage of questions answered correctly.
Can I cancel or reschedule without losing the exam fee?
Pearson VUE says it must receive notice at least 48 hours before the appointment to transfer the fee or request a refund. Without proper notice, the fee is forfeited.
How do I retake a failed combined Nevada exam?
At a physical test location, wait 24 hours before making a re-examination reservation. A candidate who fails the combined exam must retake the entire combined exam.
How do I apply after passing the Nevada exam?
Pass the applicable exam within one year before applying, then submit the resident producer application electronically through Sircon. The current Nevada state licensing fee is $185; vendor transaction fees may be separate.
What is the Nevada resident fingerprint sequence?
Apply first. Sircon or NIPR then sends a link to the Fingerprint Authorization Form. Complete the Background Waiver, take the authorization form to an approved Nevada vendor, and attach both completed documents. Nevada says fingerprints are valid for one year and currently estimates about three weeks for the background report.
Does a Nevada producer need an insurer appointment?
Yes. Nevada law requires an individual producer to be appointed by an insurance company before acting for that insurer.
What is included with this TSI Self Study product?
Purchase provides 70 days of chapter videos, Nevada regulation review, online study material, notes, flash cards, and unlimited practice tests. Exam, fingerprint, application, transaction, appointment, and licensing costs or decisions are separate.
Does this product guarantee passage or a Nevada license?
No. Preparation, exam passage, background review, application approval, insurer appointment, and license issuance are separate and are not guaranteed.
Official-source facts reviewed July 20, 2026. Confirm current examination, scheduling, identification, fee, fingerprint, application, education-provider, and appointment requirements with Nevada DOI, Pearson VUE, Sircon, and NIPR before acting.
