Virginia Property & Casualty exam and resident-license path

Virginia requires the appropriate resident producer examination. Its current published 16-hour prelicensing-course rule is for Title, not the standard Property and Casualty authority. This online Self Study product is optional independent exam preparation, not required Virginia education or a completion-certificate path.

Current resident sequence: confirm the authority, prepare for and pass the appropriate Prometric examination, apply online through Sircon or NIPR, and complete the current Fieldprint requirement using the correct producer code.

1. Confirm the authority

Prometric lists series 11-03 for Virginia Property and Casualty. NIPR says P&C applicants may not also request Personal Lines because the authorities overlap. Confirm the exact authority before registering or applying.

2. Prepare and test with Prometric

Prometric offers Virginia exams at test centers and through remote proctoring. The current SCC-linked bulletin lists series 11-03 at 150 minutes / $35. Confirm current scheduling, identification, delivery, cancellation, and fee rules when booking.

3. Apply online

Apply through Sircon or NIPR after the appropriate exam. NIPR currently lists a $15 state fee per line, excluding its transaction fee. The SCC says to allow approximately 15 business days for normal processing.

4. Complete resident fingerprints

Use Fieldprint and producer code FPVABOIProducer. Current SCC guidance lists a $34.95 fingerprint cost and says fingerprints must be no older than 90 days for use with an application.
