Texas in-person Property & Casualty exam preparation

This 2-day in-person class plus 70-day online course provides optional independent exam preparation. Texas does not require a fixed prelicensing-hour total for the regular resident General Lines route, and class attendance does not guarantee exam passage or license issuance.

  • Exam: TDI identifies English General Lines Property and Casualty exam InsTX-PC06; Pearson VUE currently lists 150 minutes and a $49 test-center fee.
  • Outline: the current handbook totals 130 scoreable and 15 pretest questions.
  • Resident sequence: TDI currently lists exam, fingerprint process, then license application. It lists a $50 application fee and a one-year deadline after passing.
