Current Alabama resident sequence

  1. Choose Life and Health, or Property and Casualty. Alabama no longer requires a prelicensing certificate; preparation remains optional.
  2. Register at least seven days ahead with the University of Alabama. Combined producer exams currently cost $75; individual producer exams cost $50.
  3. Pass the applicable examination. Each combined outline lists 150 questions, 180 minutes, and 105 correct answers; examination certificates remain valid for one year.
  4. Allow three to five business days for results, use Fieldprint after passing, apply through NIPR, and submit proof of citizenship. Alabama lists an $80 Insurance Producer state fee; the NIPR transaction fee is separate.

No. Alabama stopped requiring a prelicensing certificate on January 1, 2024. These TSI products are optional independent exam preparation.

What are the combined Alabama producer exams?
