Louisiana resident insurance producer license applicants must submit their license application before being fingerprinted, as fingerprints submitted prior to the application will not be accepted or reviewed.

Application Submission Timing

All new Resident License applicants, including producers, claims adjusters, public adjusters, and consultants, are required to submit a license application prior to being fingerprinted. The fingerprints are used to conduct a criminal background check performed as part of the license application requirements. Fingerprints submitted prior to application submission will not be accepted or reviewed.
