Specialty training
- Annuity best interest: life or limited funeral producers who want to solicit annuities must complete a one-time four-credit annuity training course.

- Flood: resident property/casualty licensees must complete a one-time 3-hour NFIP course to sell, solicit, or negotiate flood insurance.
Renewal checklist
- Pull the SBS transcript before the 90-day renewal window.
- Complete 21 general hours plus 3 ethics for major-line authority, or the lower limited-line track if applicable.
- Leave time for the provider 10-day upload and the extra 24 hours before renewal eligibility.
- Do not send completion certificates to DOI as a substitute for provider upload.
- Verify no duplicate course was repeated inside the same 2-year renewal period.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Trying to renew the same day CE is completed.
- Forgetting the provider has 10 days to upload the course.
- Assuming excess hours carry into the next cycle.
- Repeating a course inside the same 2-year period.
Course planning
TSI National can help you plan CE, but Nebraska DOI controls CE credit, transcript posting, and renewal approval. Use your SBS transcript as the source of truth, then choose courses that close the exact gaps. You can review training options on the TSI National course results page.
