Illinois Accident and Health Prelicensing Course - Online Self-Study with Live Webinar

The live webinar is required. Complete 12.5 hours of online self-study plus 7.5 hours of live Accident & Health instruction. Self-study alone does not complete this approved Illinois course.

Study Health topics

Health insurance, policy provisions, disability income, medical plans, group coverage, social insurance, and Illinois regulation, with lessons and chapter quizzes.

Complete the webinar

Attend the required live Health instruction, then submit the signed attendance and course-completion affidavit. Shared Life & Health sessions may cover both lines; your course and certificate cover Accident & Health only.

Earn your certificate

Pass the chapter quizzes and Health-only final examination with 70% or higher after completing the instruction and affidavit. Download your Illinois course-completion certificate from your course.

Choose a live class date

The calendar uses TSI's shared Life & Health sessions. Complete at least 7.5 hours of Accident & Health instruction. Selecting the first day includes the complete class booking.

Your Illinois licensing steps

Complete this approved 20-hour Combination course and download your certificate.
Register for both the Accident & Health General and State exams through Pearson VUE. Bring proof of prelicensing completion to the test center.
After passing both exam parts, follow Illinois DOI's license application instructions.
